St. Michael’s Choir

St. Michael’s has a traditional robed choir and they are the only one in Sittingbourne!

The choir sings on Sunday mornings each week at our 10am service and also at Choral Evensong once a month (held on the second Sunday of each month). We are currently welcoming new members in all voice parts and also in our Junior Choir (aged 7-13).

The choir meet in the tower room on Friday nights, 7pm to 8pm for the Junior Choir and 7.45pm to 9pm for adults. To get to the Tower Room door, walk down the High Street towards New Century Cinema, past Iceland, past the path next to Iceland which leads through the Graveyard and turn left into the next path (through the black gates). This is the path directly before you get to the main church entrance. Follow this path and it leads straight to the Tower Room door. Twist the handle to enter.

The Junior Choir are learning about music and voice production using the Royal School of Church Music(RSCM)’s Voice for Life scheme. More information can be found on the RSCM website by clicking this link.
