General information:

Sundays 10 am Holy Communion at St. Michael’s

St. Michael’s is a beautiful sacred space where we offer our liturgical worship led by our Team Vicar and Lay Ministers with the help of a robed choir .

All children (including babies and toddlers) are welcome in our services. We have Busy Bags available, which you are welcome to make use of, and space for parents at the back to take younger children, if they wish, where there are some toys, books and activity sheets.

After the service you are welcome to join us for tea, coffee and biscuits in the south transept.

10.30 am Holy Communion/Morning Prayer (Wednesdays)

For this service we gather in the beautiful chancel to worship. It is a said Holy Communion.

On occasion, we will instead say Morning Prayer. This is from the Book of Common Prayer, hearing and reflecting on the readings for the day.

Our Wednesday morning service is immediately followed by our Place of Welcome.

5:30 pm Evening Prayer (Thursdays)

This is a short Evening Prayer service, using Common Worship, incense and plainsong chants.

We give thanks for the day, pray the Psalms, listen for God’s word in Scripture, and pray together for the church, the world, and this parish.

10 am All Age and Family Service with Baptism and Holy Communion (First Sunday of every month)

This service is a slightly different format to our normal 10 am Holy Communion. Often Baptisms take place during this service.

After the service you are welcome to join us for tea, coffee and biscuits in the south transept.

6.30 pm Choral Evensong (Second Sunday of every month)

On the second Sunday of the month, Choral Evensong is sung by our choir, which enables us to draw upon the riches of the Anglican choral tradition for our hymns and anthems.

We use The Book of Common Prayer Evensong service.
There is a short reflection on the readings, and a sung Vesper to close the day.
